Financial Crime Compliance Officer – Risk Assessment & Controls #210962

Your field of responsibility

An exciting opportunity within the Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) Swiss Bank/Switzerland (SB/CH) team as Compliance Officer in Zurich. 

In this role you will contribute to the identification, management and reporting of Financial Crime risks to the FCC SB/CH management team. You will take part in a bank-wide Financial Crime Risk Assessment program and will support the design and implementation of a front-to-back control framework, to address the inherent Financial Crime risks facing SB/CH.

Your portfolio ranges from regulatory, policy and audit work related to Anti-Money Laundering, Know Your Client, ABC, and transactional risks. Further work will focus on the development of metrics and analytical controls.

Furthermore, this role will further develop your project management abilities by allowing you to drive projects owned by or impacting the team.

Your team regularly engages with departments from the three lines of defence, allowing you to have exposure to business, compliance and audit colleagues.

Your skills and experience

  • You have at least five years of professional experience, ideally with a track record in the banking environment or management consulting
  • Additional practical expertise in Compliance / Risk Management or in Audit is seen as a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are required, fluency in German would be an advantage 
  • You have proven competence to independently coordinate multiple deliveries/projects in a fast-paced environment
  • You are a dedicated problem solver with a positive, empathetic personality and can-do attitude who shows a flexible and committed approach
  • You have strong analytics skills, including ability to analyze large sets of data 
  • Profound knowledge of MS Office programs (especially PowerPoint and Excel, Access a plus)
  • You have willingness to develop in Financial Crime Compliance topics on the long-term
