Inhouse Legal Counsel

YOUR AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY

As part of our Zurich-based team reporting directly to the COO, you will be responsible for all legal matters across the company including:

  • Advising on legal matters and governance frameworks related to the operation of entities and investment products regulated by market supervisors in jurisdictions like Switzerland and Luxembourg (e.g. FINMA, CSSF)
  • Drafting, reviewing and helping to negotiate corporate legal documents, including distribution and investment management agreements and side letters
  • Setting up and maintaining investment structures as well as coordinating and reviewing the associated legal documents, including limited partnership agreements and offering memorandums
  • Organizing the management of legal documents as well as establishing and enforcing legal standards across the company
  • Supporting Energy Infrastructure Partners transaction and asset management functions in collaboration with external law firms
  • Management and monitoring of external legal counsels

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Proven law degree
  • Minimum of seven years of relevant experience in the legal department of an asset manager or in a law firm with an asset management focus; experience with illiquid investments is a plus
  • Profound knowledge of Swiss and EU regulations (e.g. FIDLEG, FINIG, AIFMD, SFDR) and familiarity with emerging changes to law that could affect the asset management industry
  • Structured, proactive, detail-oriented personality with an ability to work with tight deadlines and drive matters forward to resolution
  • Fluency in English and German; French is an advantage
